Spalding Sub-Aqua Club is a relatively small, but friendly, dive club where people new to the diving experience are always welcome; as are experienced divers and instructors with BSAC, PADI or other recognised qualifications.

The Club celebrated its 40 years as Branch 1070 in 2019; today its membership covers a broad and diverse range of experience and qualifications.

Spalding Sub-Aqua Club is affiliated to the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC), founded in 1953. BSAC is recognised as the National Governing Body for sub-aqua within the United Kingdom.

Our Clubhouse in town has facilities to run lectures, committee meetings, training or informal gatherings. Cylinders can be air-filled using our own compressor.

Sheltered water training is provided at the pool; the Club can provide all equipment for initial training.

We resumed pool activities in October following on from Covid-19 restrictions.

Open water training usually takes place at either Gildenburgh, Whittlesey or Stoney Cove, near Leicester.

The Club owns a 5.3m Ribcraft 75hp Mariner RIB with O2, GPS, Echo sounder and fixed VHF radio. Primarily this is launched from the North Norfolk coast or from the River Welland out towards the Wash.

We meet Friday evenings either at the swimming pool, or at our Clubhouse located in the town.

If you’re curious about diving, have never tried it before, have had a go while on holiday or are just plain rusty, why not contact us to arrange a Try-Dive?
